On 2nd April 2019, Christian families for 15 years living in the village asked to leave the village on the account of their faith in Christ in Bhandria Village, Garhwa District of Jharkhand.

Christian families have been practicing and living in the tribal village for the past 15 years and they belongs to Kharwar tribe. They gets income through collecting mahua, a forest product. When they went to collect the mahua, the extremists demanded them to leave the village because they follow Christ.
