On 3rd May 2018, Hindutva extremists barged in to the prayer meeting and severely beaten up the Pastor and took him to the police station in Harayya Tehsil, Basti District of Uttar Pradesh.

A group of hindutva extremists barged in to the prayer meeting, disrupted the meeting and severely beaten up the Pastor and later handed over to the police with a false allegation of conversion activities along with other four believers. Police have filed a complaint against Pastor and kept him in police custody under IPC section 141, 107 and 116. Later on May 05, 2018 Pastor was granted bail.
