Nine Christian families cruelly ostracized and harassed for their faith

Nine families were ostracized from Village Pusavand, Kanker, Chhattisgarh because they chose to believe in Christ. They were deprived of common well water by the village heads. It is reported that these family members have been facing exclusion for the past three years. Further, if the excluded families are seen together they would be fined Rs.5000.

Women of these families had visited the Collector’s office to make an appeal for justice against the harassment caused by the village heads.

The Christians are also not allowed to work in the village which has led to the problem of livelihood.
