Orphanage shut down on false allegations

On 20th February 2017, an orphanage was shut down on false allegations of child trafficking and forceful conversion against the pastor running the orphanage, in Supur village, Bankura district, West Bengal.

A couple filed a false complaint against the pastor, saying that he is involved in child trafficking and forceful conversion inside the home.

They also informed the local Child Welfare Committee, and with the help of the local police took custody of all the 12 children living in the orphanage.
