Ten religious extremists entered a church situated at Lalgunj in Uttar Pradesh and made false allegations against the Pastor that he converts people to Christianity by alluring them with money. They also accused him of witchcraft, alleging that he gives blessed oil and holy water to the Christians that gather at the church for prayers. The religious extremists further threatened the Pastor not to conduct prayers anymore. The assailants clicked pictures of the church and the congregants. They also confiscated the Pastor’s identity proof. Following the incident, the pastor went to the police station to complain about the incident, but instead of registering his complaint, they threatened him and warned him that he must stop the prayer services unless he wants to suffer the fate of two pastors who were previously booked for converting people to Christianity. A week later, the pastor again received threat calls from the assailant.
