On 24th January 2018, Police called pastor to discontinue conducting worship services in Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Police called up the pastor and asked to get a permission letter and he has to get an approval from collectors office then only he can conduct the prayer meeting.

For the past two years the church members have been meeting peacefully, without any issues from any of the neighbors or from the house owner. The police told him that the hindutva extremists have complained against about six churches in this area. When the pastor asked for a written notice from the police, the police denied issuing any such notice. Due to pressure from the police the pastor wants to approach the Collector to get the required approval.
