Two Christians were arrested on October 27, 2014 on false allegations of forced conversions in Sangli, Barwani Distrist. The Christians had attended a fasting prayer on Sunday, October 26, 2014 after which local Hindutva activists filed a complaint against them. The police from Thikri Police Station arrested the Christians the next day and transferred them to Central Jail. They were granted bail after three days.
